Submit Proposal

The Consulate General of Israel in New York and the World Jewish Congress invite university students at the undergraduate or graduate level in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and  Ohio to pitch their idea for a campus event, strategy or initiative that takes a new approach to supporting Israel, combating anti-Semitism and/or the delegitimization of Israel, or promoting inter-community/faith relations. Students may submit a proposal individually or as a team.

The top ten teams will move on to a second round, where they will create a presentation of their plan. Five teams will be chosen to pitch their proposals to a panel of entrepreneurs, CEOs, and global Jewish leaders in February 2019. The winning proposal will receive up to $5,000 to implement their idea on campus during Spring 2019.

Those who submit a proposal will be asked to summarize their idea, strategy or event for their university in three to four paragraphs.

Proposals should be focused on one or several of the following themes: Israel, Judaism, combating anti-Semitism or anti-Israel sentiment on campus, or promoting inter-community/faith relations.

A strong proposal will include an inter-community aspect in which a different group on campus is engaged through the implemented plan.

Applications are open until January 11, 2019.
